This new moon is also a Supermoon, the second of 6 this year. Being closer to earth, it magnifies the energies that this moon is bringing forth.
After some pretty intense energetic shake ups from this last eclipse season, and all the dissolving and letting go of core parts of ourselves that went along with it, this New Moon in Aries will give us the momentum we need to push these changes forward. We are being given a fresh start. Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, represents the spark of fire that give birth to new life. If we choose to embrace what this new moon is offering us, and step through the flames, we can purify ourselves and start anew. Adding a conjunction with Uranus in the mix, the planet of rebellion, we are really being asked to completely revolutionize and reconstruct our core identity. And with a trine to Saturn in Sagittarius, we have a great opportunity to set a solid foundation for these changes if we are willing to step into our new and higher alignment. With Jupiter and the north node of the moon still in Virgo, we are working with the themes of finding our truth and integrating that with the healing of this planet and our physical selves.
Mars, the ruling planet of Aries, is going retrograde next week. If we stay stuck in our old patterns and habits, and don’t make take the time to make the necessary changes being asked of us, Mars Retrograde will make sure we don’t get very far. We need to get a good understanding and set some solid intentions now, while we have this powerful energy to work with, so when we are forced to slow things down for Mars’ retrograde journey, we are more aware of the direction we need to go in, and we can to better analyze and rework it, before jumping too far ahead.
