They are resting points and lenses that our energetic or subtle being can reside in and flow through. The chakras are the points where we emit and receive certain frequencies of energy that correlate to the physical, emotional and spiritual levels of a human being.
Simple enough. But what am I supposed to do with this information? How can I practically apply this knowledge of chakras into my life? And why should I?
When you start to shift your lens of perspective then you can start to see things on an energetic level. Since we attract things into our lives based on the vibrations we put out, the more control we are of our energy centers, the better grasp we have on the life we are choosing to live.
Ideally, we want to have all our our chakras open and functioning properly, so that energy can flow smoothly and with ease. Yet life has a funny way of throwing things at us that get us all out of whack. But hey, that’s the fun of living in this physical world, right? Constantly learning and growing, like playing a game of balance.
So, when we don’t take the time to properly clear our chakras, they can become blocked, overactive or under-active causing imbalances within us on physical and more subtle levels.
Along with outside energy clogging up the chakras, everything we do, say, think, and feel affect the energy we give off from each one. If we suppress certain emotions, or live in a lower vibrational state of fear or anger, this causes certain chakras to become imbalanced. That’s when we continue in a vicious cycle of attracting lower vibrational scenarios into our life, only creating more frustration. Generally, most people’s awareness get stuck in the lower three chakras since these are most closely related to the physical level of a human being.
When we begin to see how everything is connected, we can start to view life more in terms of energy, and more specifically, chakras and the energetic body. This is a great way to help keep you in check and see where you are out of balance within your life and being. Are you having money problems? Feeling ungrounded and unstable lately? Look to your Muladhara (root chakra)! It’s probably out of balance. Having trouble talking or communicating with friends and family? Open up your Vishuddha (throat chakra)! Instead of getting frustrated with these problems, which usually causes them to get worse, you can begin to understand the root cause of where these imbalances may be stemming from. The more time you spend working with and actively healing your energetic body and chakras, the more you’ll begin to learn about yourself, and the habitual patterns you tend to create. This is when you can really start to change your life for the better, because you will be more consciously aware of the decisions you make and how they will affect your subtle self.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be posting articles on each specific chakra, going into depth about each one, and giving you tools you can use to heal and balance them every day!
And remember if your foundation isn’t clear and stable, you’ll never be able to open up your higher chakras and start to experience the magic of life!
