Manipura (solar plexus chakra) is located at the navel region. As the next stage of the evolution consciousness, our being is now concerned with our personal power. It is the seat of our fire and life force, our goals and sense of purpose in this lifetime. With a connection to our will power and warrior energy, we have a solid direction and strength to get through this lifetime. It is our confidence within ourselves, assuredness in knowing who we are and what we want on our journey. If we do not have a strong fire fueling us, our self esteem takes a dive and we can lose that direction and become depressed. Manipura is teaching us to take all that we have learned from the lower two chakras and to stand firm in everything we are and stand for in order to move forward making a difference in this physical world.
If we struggle to follow a path that has been laid out for us by another, we will carry frustration and the feeling that our lives were a waste of time. It is especially important for children to be encouraged in what they like to do and nourished in their areas of interest. If they are given the proper materials and support they will be able to develop their own natural skills enabling them to follow their desires and life’s work for deep fulfillment.
We can feel no sense of purpose, depression, low self-esteem and a loss of control when the Manipura is out of balance. Listening to tibetan singing bowls while meditating, working or feeling unmotivated is a great way to help balance the Manipura. Here is the link to our personal favorite 3 hour long video of Tibetan Singing Bowls for the Solar Plexus Chakra.
Kundalini Yoga Asanas that help to balance the Manipura are the Bow Pose and Breath of Fire.
Fire is one of the most magical elements. Spending time with it and help ignite the fire that lies within us. It is as much alive as we are. Building campfires will also teach you how to tend to the fire burning within you.
The scents Lemon, Frankincense, Cedarwood, Juniper, Cardamom can be used to also help realign the solar plexus chakra.
