There are literally hundreds of ways for us to connect within ourselves. There isn’t one right or wrong way, it’s about what is best for you. Here are some examples that you can try out for yourself and see which one resonates with you the most:
1. Walking/Connecting with Nature
When you begin to feel out of balance, take a stroll through a park or go sit by a lake. When we are one with nature, it reflects our own inherent stillness within.
2. Walking Barefoot in Grass or Sand
This helps release built up ions from constantly wearing shoes. When we walk barefoot in either the grass or sand, we receive the negative ions from the earth and equalize our energetic imbalances.
3. Swimming in the Ocean or Taking a Salt Bath
Salt vibrates at a similar frequency as our own bodies so when we are immersed in it, we can regain that sense of stability and centeredness.
Focusing on our breath in meditation or in stressful situation can help reconnect us with our body and help enhance our feeling at being at home within ourselves.
5. Visualizing Inner Energetic Body Entering the Earth Through the Feet
Our minds are quite powerful and by simply envisioning your energetic body connecting to the Earth through your feet can help connect your energy to that of Mother earth.
6. Grounding Crystals
Crystals have certain crystalline structures that vibrate at frequencies that correspond to different emotional, physical and spiritual qualities. There are many crystals can help one ground themselves. Any black stone like Onyx, Jet, Black Tourmaline, Nuummite, Smokey Quartz are great grounding crystals. Some others include Garnet, Auralite-23, Tiger Iron, Tiger’s Eye and my personal favorite for connecting to Earth, Aragonite.
7. Paying Close Attention to Your Senses
When we bring our attention to either a smell, touch, sound, sight or taste we connect to the present moment through the sensations we are experiencing.
8. Travel/ New Environments
Similar to connecting with our senses, when we travel or encounter a new environment, it enhances our awareness of the world around us.
9. Putting Hand Over Heart or Bringing Hands Together in Front of Heart Center
Our hands/arms are our connection between our personal self and the external world. When we bring our hand to our heart or hands together in front of heart center, we are physically establishing the connection to ourselves.
